Aces Wild Custom Chopper

Because I want to build some more motorbikes in the future I decided to build a simple but nice kit to start building bikes again.

This is the one I choosed.

I also made a dryfit with the optional parts I wanted to use for this bike.

And I'll use the green/black striping decals for it.

I'll build it just OOB maybe some sparkplug wire but no big modifications or something.

I'm thinking about paint it Gloss Black and the engine flat black with chrome details. The spokes from the wheels also will be black.

Kris.

Re: Aces Wild Custom Chopper

Thanks for feedback.... I know it's not a GP bike....

Last days I painted the parts wich I wanted to paint Gloss Black. But when I wanted to paint I realised I didn't have that paint So I painted it Metallic Black from Tamiya and clearcoated it 2 times.

Today I polished it with this result 8)

Now I don't know if I must place the decals or not.... I like this but maybe it's nicer with those striping decals?

Kris.

That metallic black looks dandy! Will be great to see some more progress on the other details.

Re: Aces Wild Custom Chopper

New update!

First I painted the spokes in black:

The chainprotector and airfilter painted:

I was thinking about a flat black engine and frame with the shiny parts above. So I painted the frame in flat black and also the engine....

I did a whole evening about the decals. They're very hard to add because al parts are round. With a lot of Microsol Sol I managed to get it tight on the parts. I thought the decals were black but it's dark blue.... I didn't saw that because I'm a bit of colourblind

But I think it looks nice and looks like an special paintjob now. I clearcoated it with pearl clear en normal clear by Tamiya.

It's shining already but I'll polish it after its dry enough.

Kris.
