Full Size 1991 Chev Blazer
I have a full size 1991 Chev Blazer. I will eventually need to have my Aomatic Transmission rebuilt or find a vehicle with a similar transmission and switch it out. I am considering doing just that...trying to find a vehicle with a compatible transmission. Problem: I know little about this. What vehicles might be compatible and a good choice for my 350 engine?

Re: Full Size 1991 Chev Blazer
Is it a 4x4? If its a 4x4, then you need to find a similar 4x4 vehicle transmission. If its 2 wheel drive then you have more of a choice for direct bolt on. Of course the blazer/jimmy trannies will work, 305/350 doesn't matter. A caprice, buick roadmaster, pick-up truck tranny will work. Again 305/350, both will work. You just need to make sure if you need a 2wheel drive or 4 wheel drive tranny, and get similar.
