01 dakota trany prob?

I have a 01 dakota quad cab slt, v6 2wd.

the problem is...when crusing at 50-70...the motor stutters and truck jults
like its misfiring.. AND its not concistent.....Also..some times when at a stop.
I'll tap the gas petal and it will almost stall...and when stopping and putting into reverse..it will do the same..

I've been told it might be a silinoid in the tran...something to do with lockup?
any help would be MUCH appreciated!...

I don't think that the trans would have anything to do with the missfire, it sounds like a fuel problem...maybe spark. I'd change the fuel filter, plugs, and plugwires and see how that helps.

Maybe the shift solenoid but try the cheaper stuff first. If you have a 45 RFE tranny then that sucker isnt cheap.I have 1100 in my dakota trans and that is just in parts
