I have searched this entire site and have not found anyone who has successfully swaped a analog to lcd/digital style dic. if any one has done this without the wiring harness already in the dash can you please help me to figure out where the additional four wires go. Thanks,Rob

Re: enhanced DIC swap

Well I have never head anyone converting over without the correct blue harness. I am sure it can be done some how. I know that most of the 97-99 all have the second harness.

Re: enhanced DIC swap

what are you trying to do exactly? The DIC is the thing above the radio and vents that shows what doors are open, and supercharger boost and everything, right? You are trying to swap one from a GTP into an SE? An se doesnt have a supercharger, so wouldnt it be kind of hard wiring all the extras? What about one from a GT? What do those look like? would that be easier to put into an SE? I might be able to help you out with wire diagrams.

Re: enhanced DIC swap

i have a 2003 gt as well and would like one of those lcd ones. I dont have that connector, but im sure we can figure something out. And it isnt just for boost by the way; it has gas mileage, etc. I would like an easier way of monitoring it

Re: enhanced DIC swap

they actually make one for a gt and one for a gtp.you can tell the differance by the traction button. the gtp says tcs on the button and the gt says trac. I have heard that if you install one off a gtp on a gt the traction off light will be on even though the traction control is actually engauged.as for the wiring I have hooked the new lcd dic up once to all the exsiting wires and the screen does not come on, so one of the four wires control the screen. but i do know that at least one of the other wires control the mpg. as for the other two ???? and which wire controls what and where they hook into.
