2001 F150 crew cab
i'm thinking of getting this truck and was wondering what kind of gas milage they get.Im not sure if it has the 4.6 or the 5.3 but it is 4x4,also i need somthing that can take a polaris sportsman in the back.I like the crew cab feature cause i have 2 kids and the bike is pretty much all i need to carry.I have a camper i need to tow so i need the truck,I currently have a 1993 chev ext cab 4x4 with a 5.7,i just had to add a leaf to handle the weight of the camper and bike but i can buy the weight dist. hitch for the ford.My current truck is decent on fuel so if this truck can match or beat it on fuel then i would be happy. Please add your input.

Re: 2001 F150 crew cab
i've got an 01 supercrew and you better measure the width of your 4 wheeler, the beds on the crew are narrower.
i get around 15mpg combined city/highway, kind of sucks

Re: 2001 F150 crew cab
scratch the crew cab i just got an awesome deal on a 2003 f150 xlt fx4 step side super cab,it has the 5.4 triton.only problem it has is the manifolds are just starting to leak at the heads, but for the price i'm paying its worth the fix.Whats the 5.4 like for fuel economy?
