Ferrari reissue....and another and another and....

Yea....Well...Fujimi F355 Challenge reissue comin at ya! So far, it doesn't seem like the full racing Challenge I was expecting, and 1999 doesn't have any pics up yet.

Another F430 Challenge(Cup)? With diff decals and PE?

Re: Ferrari reissue....and another and another and....

Gawd I hate Fujimi

Pics from the hobby show had the yellow Cayman wearing the same wheels as the red issue. A friend preordered the new kits thru HLJ, he has a white 1:1 w/the 15 spoke wheels, but when we saw the photo from the show he dropped the preorder because it looked like the wheels were the same as before. Now we see this

Also note that the new version costs 200 yen more than the red Cayman S

The Challenge Cup car isn't a 360, it's an F430. The old F355 Challenge car isn't nearly as good a model as it should be, nothing as good as the F430 Challenge car. But it is nice to see it back.

Enough reissues. Where's the new Civic? New Skyline G37? New GT-R? I want to see more new stuff!!

Re: Ferrari reissue....and another and another and....

Personally, I find the campagnolo and borrani wheels on pre-order more exciting. Anyone know what campagnolo wheels the'yre going to be?

shiiit.... did I just say I find the wheels more exciting?
Time to get out of the house I think....

Yes!! And the Toyota FJ Cruiser. And the new Rabbit and... crap. So much cool stuff out there other than Ferraris.

It seems almost like all the companies that got the licenses for the new cars (F430, Enzo, etc) were forced to repop all their Ferrari kits ever, as part of the agreement. There's just been this flood of new boxes with the old kits in them - all of them with cellophane windows or pictures of the sprues on the box; as if that was part of the agreement, too.

Now that I think about it, it's not out of order to think that Ferrari would have required the model manufacturers to reissue all the old Ferrari kits just so that the companies would be forced to tie up all their car-model resources and not be able to produce models of cars that aren't Ferraris. That's a classic move by them, if I ever saw one.

Model companies make and will make whatever sells. Apparently new Civics and stuff are not selling well enough - pure and simple.

That isn't exactly true. I don't see a few dozen versions of Camrys, Carollas, Altimas, and Maximas. I see more of them in 1:1 than anything.

I would love an FJ too. Isn't it mostly a US model tho?

I think what mister K. referred to is what will sell in model, not in real life.
And luckily...

Seems people who build models will build cars that they can aspire to and dream of in real life, not drive...

Take or leave this explanation, but it's like that, and that's the way it is.

I could be way off too here, but the 60th anniversary might have something to do with the flood of Ferrari kits?!

Re: Ferrari reissue....and another and another and....

it's not going to be any one reason for it.
It is just as valid to mention ferrari's latest move to establish itself as a brand more and hence the relaxing of its licensing.

Hobby World says it's the Challenge Cup Senna version, so I'm guessing it's probably this car.

Re: Ferrari reissue....and another and another and....

IŽd rather have these great cars being reissued rather than having an E39 M5 with a GT-Wing and new - not original - rims. To see what I mean...

http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ18934

Now that really doesnŽt make any sense at all.

That is NOT E39! Don't scare me like that! I would take E39 in any guise...
