more help with a tach retrofit

i've posted on this before but I'm still unclear so please bear with me. I have 95 civic hatch (CX). It came with just about nothing, including a tach. I want a clean look so i've ruled out the 5" external in favor of a swap with higher trim civic tach. I'm sure I can find one at the junkyard but i need to know how much of the system to take and as much on the swap as anyone knows. I'm probably not the first to do this so I hope you're out there.Any help is appreciated.
