radio will not turn off

Factory radio in daughters 94 PAU will not turn off with car I know that it is supposed to stay on for 10 mins but even after that it is still on. Really don't want to replace the radio so does she live with it???

Interesting..

I know the my radio stays on after the ignition is turned off and waits for a door to open. It senses somehow and uses that to turn it off.

Quickly looking at the circuit here it appears its power comes into the radio on the yellow line from the "Retained Aaccessory Power Relay".
It shows to be Relay #1 in your underhood fuse block. Perhaps it's stuck or somehow the radio is finding another source.

it is possiable cause it does work right from time to time ,I'll have to check the relay out
