I have engine noise and I'm afraid the bottom end is shot. I would like to do a bottom end overhaul and whatever else it needs. A advice?

Re: Engine removal 2002 sebring convertible
More than likely the extent of the damage is beyond economical sense. I just pulled my 2.7 out of a lxi sedan i bought and the engine is grenaded. it broke 2 rods and pistons, the main bearing cap, beat the crank and put a hole in the block to a journal, (not all the way through). I am putting in a used intrepid 2.7 this weekend. It depends on what kind of a noise it is and where it is coming from, definitely get it looked at before it ends up grenaded. let me know if i can help answer any questions you might have. good luck
