Re: 1993 thunderbird sc

The easiest thing to do is sell it and buy one with a V8.

I have a mint cougar 30th anniversary FULLY loaded V8. Same mn-12 chassis. It's a hard swap to go from a v6 to a v8. You have to replace a lot of the drivetrain.

Re: 1993 thunderbird sc

If it is in mint condition then it is a total waste to change it to a V8. It would be worth more if left the way it is.

Re: 1993 thunderbird sc

i think it would be foolish to swap a sc motor out for a 4.6 just my opinion though.

Re: 1993 thunderbird sc

i'd personally leave the 3.8 crap engine and when the time comes swap it out, no need in doing all that work just because you want a bigger engine, and btw, the 3.8 s/c is funner to drive than the 5.0 - I know

btw, im in the process of swapping my 92 lx 5.0 out with a 351windsor... should be fun
