Question Nissan 2003 wont shift

Hello,

I have a 03 altima and so far it is in good shape. It has 85000 miles on it and yah its treating me well except that quite a few weeks ago i noticed that there will be some time that it wont shift from park to drive or neutral or any gear when i just start the engine. I tried plying with the brake pedal to see if the sensor is working. But unfortunately i guess it just quit on me so i spoke to a mechanic and he told me that it must be the sensor. Can anyone give me some tips regarding this matter.....I will greatly appreciate it.... God bless

Re: Nissan 2003 wont shift

Wiggle the steering wheel while trying to shift the gear selector. Sometimes pressure on the steering wheel jambs the release mechanism.
