91 Regal 3.8 Won't Start

3.8 L with 182,000. It was running fine and my wife started it and it died. You can crank it and it will just turn over. It sound like it wants to start but will not. It doesn't give any codes and it has fire and gas. I'm thinking ecm or it has jumped time.
I'm going to do a compression test tonight to see if it might have jumped time but wanted to know if it would have low compression if the ecm is bad?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Mine did the same thing and the fuel pump pressure was low. Ended up replacing pump and problem fixed. Just an idea.

Welcome to AF. Has gas? How much fuel pressure, you need 40 psi at the rail.

The car has 42 psi at the rail. I'm thinking if the car jumped time that the compression would be low. I'm going to check it in the next couple of days and if it is ok I'm thinking maybe the ecm. Am I on track and does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank You in advance. Bondojoe

You already checked fuel pressure so now you need to check for spark at each of the three front cylinders & fuel injector pulse.

Problem solved. I went to check and see if the timing chain jumped and when I pulled off the harmonic balancer it was broke in 3 peices where the key goes.
