please anyone correct if i'm wrong....
the b16a is the older si version motor which is obd-1
if you are looking for a swap for ur hx you would want a b16a2 which is obd-2 like ur hx..

the b16a2 engine and tranny will cost around $2200 and fit right in..
you could also go with a b18c1 (gsr) engine n tranny will cost around $3000 that motor i belive will fit right in also..
or you could go the way i am and drop a h22a1(prelude) which will cost around $2300, but requires alot more work..
whatever u choose take ur time do some study'n and you'll find a motor that suits you best..

ok honda made these engine codes all messed up. the jdm b16a2 is obd1 with 170hp, theres the usdm b16a2 which came in the 6thgen si which is obd2 with 160hp, then theres the b16a3 that came in the delsol which is obd1 with 160hp

jdm b16a2 obd1 170hp
usdm b16a2 obd2 160hp 6th gen si's
usdm b16a3 obd1 160hp del sols

the easiest swap into your hx would be those 6th gen si engines since its obd2 and your car is obd2 too. you could also drop in the obd2 gsr engine b18c1, you could also swap in an obd1 engine, its nto as hard as everyone thinks it is to convert to obd1, skunk2 makes a conversion harness for obd2 to obd1. these engines bolt right in, and is plug and play.

also with the h22a1, its obd1. the h22a4 are the obd2 ones. its cheaper and easier to drop in an obd2 engine, but you could also easily drop in an obd1 for only like $300 more. the h22a will require a mount kit with custom shift linkage
