Skateboarding?

I don't know if any of you all skateboard, but if you do, and know how to do what i am about to ask please reply. Ok now I know how to ollie 6 sets of stairs, ok now there is this 4 set that I am trying to kickflip, but every time I do it, my board will flip and I won't land the kickflip because I will spread my legs and the board will land on the ground, the only time I almost landed it I landed in a premo, that hurts like hell, please some one help me out, please don't say just land on it

the only thing i can think of is try stompin it man
if you can't land it then try some smaller and work your way up

All you gotta do is practice fast moving k/f's on flat ground then do the same thing off the set. You want the board to spin a little slower because if you have to catch it too soon, you'll most likely push yourself down too quick and not clear the last step or two. That never feels good.
