Hey whuts up, my names Ryan. im 16 ill be 17 in Dec. I own a 90 Civic HB DX. I have the stock D15 engine. im waiting on my integra type R swap to come in and my gs-r ecu. I need to repair the front end because of the fact that the lady that had it before me wrecked it not to bad i just need a new hood, head lights, corner lenses, radiator suporrt and radiator and so on. havent had a chance to soup it up yet. but it is soon to come. I have a few questions. If i do an engine swap does it matter if my car is an AT and the car im getting it from is a MT? and also would it be cheaper to do an SiR front end conversion or an S14 conversion? And what kind of exhaust have you all found for the 90' Hatch?

welcome!

a block is a block. it shouldn't matter if it came out of MT car. what matters is using an ecu for an AT if you plan to keep the AT. my old MT si engine is in the AT 4 door

the sir conversion is cheaper.....and it doesnt matter if your cars an at and you want a mt in your car....it can be done for the right price. my accord is gettin that done with its swap shortly. and as for exhaust....i personally like the wrap around exhaust that the 4th gens have and i would stick to it in my aftermarket exhuast....choices for that are dc sports and thermal research i believe. may be some other ones...but thoes are the more affordable full cats. if you just want the sound then you can buy from any local muffler shop usually..and get a canister style muff. and custom piping...does the same thing...only less money.

welcome to the board man.

I am not going to comment on the exhaust since many people have different opionions on the matter. I saw wait till you put the type r engine in and see what your shop reccomends.

Damn, I wish I had the money to do a b18c5 swap.... Where do you work? I have apexi World sport exhaust, I like it alot but would rather have Graddy SP or Tanabe hyper medalion... I can hear more engine than exhaust when I rev .

so let me get this straight, you converted your car from auto to manual, installed a type r motor on your stock axles (not possible) put motor mounts in and got all this in a matter of how many days? .....2 ???? and you are also in highschool? what are you? speedy?

well if your telling the truth (cough, cough) then that is awesome!
