Changing the Cabin Filter

Greetings all,
I made a successful attempt at changing the Cabin Filter on the Wifey's 03 Pilot. It had not been changed in 4 years. This is a PITA project for the DIY'er, but it can be done If you have not changed out your filter, you should definitely do it. I was able to find a $15 filter (http://www.autohausaz.com). You will need the following:

Philips head screwdriver
8mm rachet
Trash Bag
Vacuum Cleaner
Dremel Tool or Knife
5 digit radio code

Simple process:
1. Disconnect battery and Open Glove box
2. Remove both tabs inside GB (turn sideways after pressing buttons to remove completely).
3. Remove the lower passenger side cover
4. Remove the bottom two screws attach to the base of the console and the other 4 screws, set GB aside
5. Using a dremel or knife, remove the plastic piece on both sides (Notches show you where to cut)
6. Remove the metal wand by removing 2 screws
7. Remove the latch holding the filter and remove the filter (make sure you have a plastic floor mat or cover for the carpeted mat because it does get dirty).
8. Using a vacuum cleaner, vacuum out any debris that is showing.
9. Replace filter and re-attach latch.
10. Re-install the metal bracket
11. Re-install the glove box
12. Re-connect battery
13. Test the A/C and smell the fresh air.
14. Enter your 5 digit code to unlock the radio and re-program presets.

Hope it works out for fellow Pilot owners.
Thanks,
KC
