Brake problems on 2002 Altima

Has anyone else had brake issues on their 2002 Altima 2.5S? It seems like I am replacing brakes every year in this car and they are even lasting 15,000 miles. I do alot of highway driving to and from work. Could the problem be with the break calipers freezing or could it be the type of brakepads that are on the car..

I am starting to get really frustrated over all with this car. Since it turned 5 yrs old in April, I have had, headgasket, replaced, tires replaced, radiator replaced and now I need rear brakes. Should I keep nickel and diming this car or is it time to get rid of it..

Re: Brake problems on 2002 Altima

I've had a brake squeeling issue since about 3yrs old. The pads were fine but they were squeeking like crazy. I changed the pads first with cheap ones, then they squeeked again and I changed them with top of the line (no squeek) pads, and cut the discs. That worked for only about 9 months. It's my wife's car and the noise drives her crazy, she only puts about 12K miles/yr on the car.

Anyone else have a suggestion(s)?
