wont start

i have a 85 volkswagen it wont start i am getting fuel to the fuel distributor but i am not getting fuel in the fuel injectors what do u think it could be. i even took the bolt loose from the top of the fuel distributor on all of the lines and nothing happens when i try to start the car. do u think it is fuel pressure or is it something else ok. i also put a aftermarket fuel filter from going from the intank fuel pump to the in line fuel pump. so it will clean out the trash from the intank to the inline. what should I do?
