96 grand am - transmission quit

I've searched the forum but have not found anything similar to my current problem.

96 Grand am 3.1 suddenly quit transmitting power to the wheels. The engine runs fine. Fluid level in transmission is OK, and doesn't smell burnt. Does not work in any gear, engine sits there and runs at varying speeds based on accelarator position. Once in a while A scraping noise is heard. Car has 120 KMs

Any suggestions or tips on trouble shooting?

thanks and have a great day.

Welcome to AF.

I'd say call a tow truck and take it to a trans shop.
I'd also say your trans is toast!!!
