92escort down shift to neutral while driving
my kid 92 escort automatic will what i think drop to neutral for a couple second every once in a while.It seem to me it may have something to do with the shift control .I took it a shop and they replace a neutral safety switch for another problem and this made the problem go away for about 400 miles.

First things first... with the engine warm and running and with the tranny in neutral, check the fluid.
