I think alot has to do with the lines of the car before you start. Some cars will suit having a extreme kit when others dont.
Comes down to your own personal choice at the end of the day.

I tend to prefer simple. Something that blends in with the original lines of the car and beefs them up a bit, rather than looking like someone threw a few random spoilers and skirts at the car and hoped for the best.

Although, as the PMan says, the car you're working on can make a big diference to what you can get away with.

I think the word here should be tasteful bodykits... after all, Veilside kits are pretty extreme, but look darn good

Simple usually looks best to me, less chances of screwing up the design in the first place.

Extreme needs to be extremely well designed and executed on the particular car to look good to my eyes. Many times an extreme design looks best on a particular car because it actually looks like it was designed by the original car's design team, complementing the design even when making big changes. And since simpler designs are easiest to keep looking "factory", that's why they usually look best to me.

Its all a matter of taste and as always opinions vary. I agree with what's previously been mentioned, it all depends on the car and the design of the body kit. Some extreme kits look amazing, some look shite! Same goes with simple designs. Personally i think Veilside is over rated and i only like about a 3rd of their stuff, as Zoom say's, some things they get right some they don't I much rather prefer C-West or Top Secret's stuff.

Tonioseven, can we get front end pics of the accord and skyline please? I really wanna see the skyline, the accord looks simple/ tastesful and I can't tell if the skyline is extreme or not, I need to see the front...

I'll put them here tomorrow; this post will be edited with the photos. Basically, the Skyline is the one in my signature and the Accord is the VIP American kit by Aoshima (also known as the Mugen Accord wagon)

i prefer subtle kits. they seem to make the car stand out somehow, with people wondering why that car looks different from others of the same model.
