Instrument cluster

I have wrote several times about my 95 Aurora. I now a different cluster in the car. This cluster was only made for one year. We matched the VIN, and it all works except....the oil light is on and the gas gauge is stuck on full. However when I turn the car it goes down. What is making this cluster do this. We are trying to find another cluster today to see if that could it.
I also am changing th TPS. It showed an error on it. It was running at .94 -1.02 and it should be .50. Coiuld the TPS cause this to happen?
I need a quick response.

Thanks

Re: Instrument cluster

no it isnt tps related. instrument cluster is paired to your pcm and DIC.
get a VIN cluster part no. quote from a dealer, and look for that part no. on the junkers.
also cluster may be bad.
IP on rora communicate digitally with pcm to obtain all data.

Re: Instrument cluster

Okay here goes....We have put another cluster in the car and it is doing the same thing. However, this time the Oil Pressure shows--- on the DIC. Changed the TPS and the engine is running much smoother. But the cluster is what is bugging me. I think the part matched...I know the VIN did.

Re: Instrument cluster

Thanks for the reply. However....I am not a mechanic so help me here. What is the pcm?...I know what the DIC is...Please explain.
How expensive is it and cna my Elect. mech. change it? Do you think that would help? This cluster is also not giving oil PSI and the Service Engine light is staying on.
Please respond.

Re: Instrument cluster

If the PCM is not in sync with the DIC, can the PCM be reprogrammed? Someone also said the fuel gauge may not work correctly because it may need a new "fuel sending kit". Could that be since it show full all of the time?
