Question 98 blazer

i have a 98 blazer and my speedometer and cruise controll doesnt work and am guessing is the speed sensor ,now i have an idea where is the speed sensor is located at, in the end of the tranny but have no idea how it looks like can some one help me

How is the fuses?
Got the code no?
2 or 4W?
If you are sure it is speed sensor go to the parts store and ask them to show you one.

How is the fuses? there all good
Got the code no?no because i havent been able to run the car for 50 miles
2 or 4w?4
am not sure if it is .is there a way to check if the speed sensor is bad or what could it be

You need a good engine /transmission capable scanner to test it or check for codes.
But also have a look at the wiring.
It could be unpluged.
Or you can try a new sensor and see if it fixes the problem.

IF A 4W drive THE SENSOR WILL BE ON BACK OF TANSFER CASE.
Depending on which transfer case you have.
On top rear of it or left side rear.
To buy a sensor you will have to get the tansfer case id off of rear back of case.
