97 Tahoe Lt...Oil Pressure gage starting to go wacky????
My oil pressure gauge on my truck is starting to act up. Why is that? What do I need to do to fix this problem. Truck seems to run fine? No ticks . Help me out.

Re: 97 Tahoe Lt...Oil Pressure gage starting to go wacky????
im had this same problem lastnight, and now my 98 tahoe wont start. i did find today a wire burnt and disconnected from the other half of the wire, which im still trying to find. I think its my oil pressure sensor. I disconnected it from the block, but i cant find it in my Haynes manual. its says the sending unit is above the oil filter.
but this connector was on the other side of the engine (passenger side). is this the oil pres. sensor? |

Re: 97 Tahoe Lt...Oil Pressure gage starting to go wacky????
i think it is the knock sensor wire that burnt in half. i've never even heard of this sensor before.
would this stop my tahoe from turning on; lights work, but starter wont turn, and no action on gauges. |
