Help...I cant get my wipers off.

Im trying to get to the part under the wipers so I have to take them off,I have got the passenger side off just fine but the drivers side is stuck.The little tab that you move is broken and just spins all the way around the arm at the base and the wiper wond budge.How can i get it off without breaking it?
