Stalling

I got a question as i usually do but you know knowledge is power.....ok sometimes i will be at a red light and it turns green then i go to give it gas and it stalls on me and its embarassing as shit lol its a automatic.....anyone know how to prevent this or what causing it or sometimes i will go to give it gas and it will like put like its gettin rdy to die.....wow i got problems

Not a mechanik

but i was experiencing similar problems changed the fuel filter smooth as silk since:smoker:

Like the fuel filter mentioned above, try that. Also, have you given the car a tune up?

Nope car hasnt had a tune up lol....ummm can u tune a car yourself?? and if soo what do u do? sorry i am not that smart with cars i am learning though

tune up usualy consits of: changing spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cab and rotor, oil, air filter, fuel filter, and if you need it adjusting the valves....might be a few things im forgeting, can anybody think of anything else?

some fuel injection cleaner would help. hey also everyone had to start somewhere so dont feel stupid.

you can do a tune up yourself. also changing the tranny filter, you could also flush the cooling system since its old coolant, use one of those flush thingys to clean it out then refill with new coolant. i would say also check hoses and vacuum lines for cracks. check your brakes and cv boots. make sure you not leaking anything like oil or tranny fluid.

ya.... i got new brakes on soo those are good i changed to oil next is spark plugs and cables
