You could try the local library for a manual. Most libraries will have the haynes or chilton manuals.

I don't know of any on-line manuals but I'm sure they do exist.

Try this link here at Auto Zones site. They have vehicle repair guides for alot of applications. I think this is the one youre looking for, the F250 is at the bottom of the page, if not you can do a search and find the right one. Their guides are basically the same info thats in the Haynes/Chiltons manuals, but like rasp said, most local libraries have them.

Re: 83 F250 Rear Drum Brakes

Appreciate the help. I have checked 3 libararies already but they all have to ship the book from another one so it would take to long and I have to do the brakes this morning. Ill always forget about the autozone site....Thanks

Sorry (and unusual) to be the voice of reason, although it appears I am too late - don't do this job.

Brakes are not something you just look at a diagram on the internet and do, especially under pressure ("have to do them this morning").

If you make a mistake working on your ignition and your car won't go, you have a problem with your car, but you're safe at home.

If you make a mistake working on your brakes and your car won't stop, you and everyone around you has a potentially fatal problem.

Get a manual and, most importantly get experienced help.

Plus having a manual can be very helpful later on with any problems.
