Angry My 1994 Eclipse Will Not Start!!!!!!

I have a 1994 Eclipse GS. The story begins with me waking up one morning to take a friend to work, the car started up fine, I have noticed the car sputtering a little bit seeming like in needed a decent tune up, also seems like it has a vaccum leak. I brought the car back, parked it and took a nap. When I woke up I went to start the car, and it wouldn't start. I checked for spark and I had it, I didn't have a Fuel Pressure tester, but I did/could smell the gas when the plugs were removed, so that gave me an indication that the car was in fact getting fuel. But what else could it be not allowing the car to start. The motor turns over with the key, it also wont start trying to DUMP the clutch. I'm lost with what to do....could a messed up valve corrupt the process in trying to start the vehicle?? and If so, and that is the problem, how can I fix that, atleast to get the car running...I need the car going or I could lose my job...its a good car, just too many problems came back with it after my friend borrowed it.....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!! I got the smarts for learning this stuff, just need a little more guidance with someone that may have a little more experience than myself.....Thanks,Tj

Re: My 1994 Eclipse Will Not Start!!!!!!

You may be in luck because almost the exact same thing happened to my old Gs spyder except it cut off while I was driving and would start back. It took a long time of diagnosing but it turned out to be my crank sensor and my power transfer unit (the larger of the two chips on the top of the engine). So if I was you I would have those looked at as well as your cam sensor just in case.
