Re: Which handheld tuner is best?
well most the ones off the shelf are not worth the money but if i had to say i would say hypertech. but if you would like to do it the right way get stackables. get the stage 1 jet chip then the stage 2 jet chip. after u get those the the venom 400 accel chip summitracing offers that would dominate i would no because i did it to my car. about 800 bucks and a day of work. but if u are serious about your car this would be the best way to go. gain about 80 horsepower.

First off I believe the thread was asking about handheld tuners if Im not mistaken. Stay away from hypertech and Jet chips there off the shelf junk. All they do is advance timming and improve shift points in auto trannys. SCT is better but your still stuck having to get it reburnt everytime you make a change to the car. No chip or tunner will net you 80hp. AFR heads won't get you 80hp. Personnally I like the PMS. Thats what I use so thats all I will speak on. After doing a little research I found it to be one of the best tunning devices on the market. Its expensive but it is the last tunning device you will ever need. Very user friendly and allows you to monitor how your car is running at all times. This isn't the answer for everyone however. Me Im always making changes to my car, so for the long haul this is a good answer for me. You need to ask yourself what your future plans are for the car first before you start spending money on tunning.
