P0410 code - 2005 Trailblazer

I had my 2005 TrailBlazer tested and the P0410 code came up. Will somebody tell me where I should start to get this fixed. I know that it's something to do with a secondary air injection malfunction or something along that line. Any input would be very helpful - Thanks.

Welcome to AF, check the fuses, under hood and panel under rear seat, the solenoid check valve could be bad or the pump itself, not knowing what tools and backround you have, this can be a complex diagnosis.

Re: P0410 code - 2005 Trailblazer

hi inspect the valve under the hood at the exhaust manifold It will be made of aluminum with a black hose attached to it and aan electrical connector. To test it unhook the hose by squeezing the ends. Once the hose is off start the engine and see if any air comes out of the valve. Nothing should come out not even a little bit. If it does the valve is bad and is dumping condensation from the engine into the air pump which also may need replacement
