Stalls when restarting after short drive

Basically when I go for a very short drive my 04 GT will stall out when it starts up. to me it doesnt seem like its getting enough fuel. I have to step on the gas to get it to rev up and then were golden. The drive is atleast a half mile or less. Any help would be great.

Re: Stalls when restarting after short drive

Welcome to AF

If you do mostly very short drives like that, I'd say the throttle body is carboned up. When the engine is running constantly in open loop mode , it's running a much richer air/fuel ratio. This can cause excessive carbon build up and make the throttle body and IAC (idle air control) valve sticky.
