Fuel Injectors?

Are there any fuel injectors that I'd be able to remove from another vehicle that would be better to replace my own with (performance wise)? Just for the dohc though.

Re: Fuel Injectors?

I agree.
The present injectors can supply more fuel than the engine needs.
I guess if you're going for 400 hp or something, more fuel would be needed

Re: Fuel Injectors?

I was just wondering because my friend has a dodge dakota, which have mustang injectors, and have quite a bit of increase in performance. And I am going to get a performance exhaust, and better intake system first. It was just a question for future references. Thanks for the replys.

Re: Fuel Injectors?

Your computer will inject enough fuel to get that emissions proper 14.7:1 air/ fuel ratio. I can't see changing injectors doing anything but confusing the computer, and maybe damaging something.
Getting the computer "chipped" will allow you to burn more fuel.

Re: Fuel Injectors?

and besides most saturn tuners find it easierto just add a 5th injector. oh and a cai and an exhaust you are looking at around 3-4 hp increase but like a 2-3 mpg increase.

Re: Fuel Injectors?

a 5th injectior on a saturn? haven't seen that one yet. if you are reallying thinking about changing injectiors, do some research, you will find math formulas for what size you need. i think the stock DOHC injectiors are 19lb or something in that area

Re: Fuel Injectors?

I'm going to put on the 92 headers, take off teh cat, and put on a magnaflow muffler. Then a short ram air intake. But the question was for the future, if i ever decide to do something that would need to get better injectors. Not injectors to put in "cuz i think it would make it faster", even though it's stock.

Re: Fuel Injectors?

Just my thoughts, but why not be nice to the environment in which we all have to live.
Maybe get a bigger cat, and forget the muffler?
Where I live, every 2 years we have to go for an emissions check.
