Ex-Japan 2000 Pajero io, blank screen

I recently imported a 2000 Pajero io from Japan. The screen is blank and I can't figure out what's wrong. The radio works but is stuck on one channel and won't change. The part numbers are: Screen: MR368933; Audio unit MR397833; and the CD is MR359980. I've looked through several forums and it seems I may need a CD or code? Or could it be the wiring??

Sounds more like a system problem. If you didn't read the Mitsi MMCS CD you would have a blue screen with an instruction to insert the disk. I'm not sure what your screen would look like if you need to put in a boot disk (after power disconnect). There is a site dedicated to fixing all these little problems but at the moment they are having some server problems I'll list the link below so you can keep an eye on developments.

Just remember that this system wasn't meant to leave Japan as it was still being developed. We have many Jap imports in NZ and are use to these little problems. Ussually the models are several years ahead of anything else (ABS, trackion control, ECU and many bells + whistles to name a few).
