Radio and Message Center stays on when car turned off and door opened.

Can anyone help? My 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII has a problem with the radio and message center. When I shut off the car and open the door the Message Center and Radio stay on. There are occassions when it will shut off for 2-5 seconds and then come back on.

I'm sure this isn't anything major....but need help diagnosing a fix. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm having to pull the fuse everytime I stop to keep the battery from running down.
