I have a 4 cldr that starts up hard after running? in the morning it starts fine
and after warming up its fine any ideas

98 2.4 4cyl 120000 evap code registers hopfully a choke sensor?? or somthing? if it was a head gasket it should act diff. or maybe it needs to warm to act up. no water in oil or fuel in oil!

Ok first that does not make sense...
If it starts cold(in the morning) and after warming up... whats the problem then :cinfused:

The hard starts when its hot could be a bad engine ground, loose connections on th engine ignition system, faulty emission syst.
Get it scanned!
That will tell you a lot.

White smoke could be steam, do a compression test to see if any cylinders are low .
