tempeature problem

hey guys,

i have a little problem with my 95 metro.
while driving the engine temperature is allright but as soon as i stop the temperature sometimes begins to rise. continuing driving again lowers the temp. sometimes it takes some time but usually it works.
the fan in front of the radiator is working while not driving...
what do you think it could be?
thanks for ur help!!

Re: tempeature problem

the fan on the radiator will not turn on till the temp gauge hits about 3/4 scale on the gauge. after driving the car for a while open the hood and let it idle till the fan comes on. see if the temp gauge drops. if it does drop a ways then everything is fine. if fan does not turn on then your sensor is probably bad. if it does not drop at all with the radiator fan running check and make sure your fins in the radiator are not partially blocked by leaves and bugs

Thanks for the reply.
The problem changed and I posted a new thread. But the fan works alright. Nothing wrong...
