Knock sensor mods

cant really find a connector for the knock sensor(s)

have lt4 firehawk
should only have one.
Don't have the time to remove manifold to gain access to actual sensor.
Help please?
any locations between sensor and ECU will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Knock sensor mods

well nevermind that, i fond it.

runs like shit if its disconnected (for obvious reasons.
BUT i did find the source of my bad timing and misfire at low idle.
now the question is should I get an Lt4 knock sensor module.
It is probably reading a "knock" off of my free flow exaust, etc.

Ideas?

Re: Knock sensor mods

You can try wrapping teflon tape around the threads of the knock sensor and see if that helps eliminate some of the false knock from the exhaust.

Well, if you don't have a knock sensor, it would be wise to get one. Go ahead and get an Lt4 knock sensor then.

Re: Knock sensor mods

I put an Lt4 knock module in my car and i think it was like 30 bucks for the part or something... i even might still have the number here.... gm# 16214681... they pop up on ebay some times too but it's just as easy to get it from the dealer... it's an easy swap too if you haven't done it before... flip over the ecu... and it's on the bottom... take the old one out... put the new one in...
