Re: the main difference...

si has multipoint fuel injection which has one injector per cylinder where as dx has dual poin fuel injection which is 2 injectors in a throttle body intake. Si has nicer interior, with tach on cluster where dx doesnt. si has sunroof dx doesnt, si in 90-91 had rear disc breaks where dx didnt.

Re: the main difference...

The interior really isnt "nicer", but its got way better seats. And says "CRX" in the door panels.

Re: the main difference...

I'm pretty sure the dx doesn't have the stock clock mounted under the center dash vents..don't quote me on that but I'm sure I noticed that when I was at the junkyard

Re: the main difference...

The DX does, the Std and probably the HF doesnt. I just swiped a clock from a dx in the yard and screwed it into the vent in my car, problem solved..our cars are made of legos man, my vent just had a spacer plug in place of the clock.

I had an old Nakamichichi crossover in that slot, it was awesome. Now I have the face of a remote radar detector there.

Re: the main difference...

Really no big differences interior-wise except for the seats...

Re: the main difference...

Re: the main difference...

rear suspension, for the most part.. the Si has a rear anti-sway bar, the DX doesn't... there's a good chunk of your weight diff, plus wiring for any of the extra stuff that the DX doesn't have... sunroof, if it's electric, etc.

Wires and hardware seem inconsequential... but they're actually pretty heavy.. I watched a thing on honda on discovery channel about a year ago that Mr.Honda, the guy that owns/owned the company, used to go through his assembly plant, and literally grind the extra threads off screws and such, b/c they were "extra weight" and that makes less mileage, etc.

Anyway, thought that was kinda funny, but those little "inconsequential things" are actually a big thing to pay attention to, not just b/c of weight, but if you clean out wires that aren't used, it makes it easier to find what you need to find in that cluster of colors, for instance.

Re: the main difference...

ya thats tru. all those small things add up. but as for a sway bar i would think its worth the extra weight. so atleast the extra weight is usefull. thanks

Re: the main difference...

Depending on the year your looking at 100 and 120 pounds difference...wiring has nothing to do with it though..its just the moonroof, moonroof motor and sway bar...that moonroof is not light..most most si models came with the 5 spoke aluminums to
