Do g20's (p10's) have the untamperable odometers?

I've heard that newer cars have odometers that will completely break if you try and tamper with it. Reason i'm asking is because i've found a used 93 with 83k miles on it...the exterior is excellent but the interior (just the cloth, the dash and panels are nice) is a mess. It looks like they never drove it but they slept in the thing. Kinda suspicious, it's at a dealer. I'm just curious Thanks

It is not untamperable but very illegal depending on where you are.

I don't know about untamperable, but I just bought a beautiful 1993 G20 with a mere 69k on it. Just the same as yours, it had a (relatively) unmarred exterior, and a dirty interior. I also bought mine from a dealer, and despite a few shoddy repair jobs from the past (which were rather easily remedied) I love the way it runs. It did have a stutter at idle for about 3 days, and once new spark plugs/cap/rotor were installed, my baby just purrs. Run a Carfax report if you suspect anything. But I am amazed at how well this car goes!

69k? I'm jealous man, today i just bought the car in question. 93 grey 5spd, cloth interior(tan, messsed up but i can live with it) for 6300k total

Congrats on your purchase!!! You'll love it, I promise! Mine's an offwhite pearl 93 with tan/brown leather interior, but the cloth around the doors and sunroof was filthy. Get even something like GoJo and take your interior apart for a day, scrub, let dry, and replace all the pieces. It'll look brand-spankin new. :flash:
