Oil change in 2000 Bravada
I have a 2000 Bravada Smartrak, 4.3L v-6. 2 questions here. First, I wanna change my oil but didnt see the filter. Where is it and I heard it takes 7quarts to fill. This true? Second, is there a dash light that will come on when the Smartrak is engaged to let me know it is?

Re: Oil change in 2000 Bravada
The oil filter was under the radiator on my '97. There's a door/hatch held closed with a large phillips head screw.
It only held 5 quarts of oil too. I don't know about the AWD indicator light. While your checking things, if the oil in the transfer case hasn't been changed in a coupla years, you might get a coupla quarts of the blue AutoTrac II transfer case available at your local Chevy or GMC dealer. |
