The drivers side blows cold but the passenger side is blowing heat. It does'nt respond to the control is there a relay or a fuse or is the climate control switch bad? If so how hard are they to change?

Driver's side is working good, passenger side only blows hot. I've turned the knob up and down but it isn't responding. Do they have a fuse or a relay or is the climate control switch bad,if so are they hard to change? Is there a way to bypass the switch?

Re: A/C climate controls problems 2005 Silverado?
I've experienced the problem of hot air on the passenger side of the vehicle for many years, and have simply learned to accept it. It's cheaper and easier than a divorce. As a result, most of my vehicles have had a passenger side air bag long before anyone else thought about it.
Is this a dual-zone control? That might make a difference. There is a separate damper motor in the dual-zone systems.
