Just bought a 95 Avenger 2.5 ES. I replaced

the rotor from the distributor and now the car won't want to start. It cranks and that's about it. Can anybody help? I already switched out the batteries.

Re: Just bought a 95 Avenger 2.5 ES. I replaced

You know what, it turned out to be the idle air adusting valve. I replaced that too and autozone gave me the wrong one. Since you mentioned about the rotor, after I put in the new idle air valve, the car put puts a lot more. I was wondering, does the rotor go on a certain way?

Where the rotor goes, there's a triangle groove, and the rotor can go on three different ways. Does it matter in which direction it goes? Meaning, even though the rotor can go on any three ways, does it matter which way it goes on to the groove?
