Re: weird noise
It is highly possible one of the hydraulic valve lifters does not charge with oil as fast as it should..hence this ticking noise. If this is the case, there is absolutely no consequence, neither short time nor long time..except the annoyance of the ticking. The toll for changing it has absolutely no logical relation with the annoyance...so unless proven something else, best is to live with it.

Re: weird noise
I have read many good things about this product but I have never used it. it may help in your situation.
http://www.auto-rx.com/ I've also read about many ppl using Seafoam to unstick lifters and such. This is one product that I've used with success to free oil rings in my 98 Saturn. http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUp.htm you can read up on both of these product on a forum called Bob is the oil guy http://theoildrop.server101.com/foru...eads.php?Cat=0 Good luck |
