1998 Chevy Blazer PROBLEMS

I have a 98 Chevy blazer. My latest problem is that while I'm driving, the car feels as if the tranny begins to slip. I took it to a guy who does tranny work on the side but he claims that he does feel the slip when driving but could not find any problems with the tranny. He believes that it is a sensor of some sort. Has anyone had this problem? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: 1998 Chevy Blazer PROBLEMS

Find a good repair shop and have it tested out with a good transmission capable scanner..
Has it ever been serviced?
Have you checked the fluid level and condition?
Any check engine lights?

Thanks for replying. I had taken it to aamco last year and had it rebuilt and the guy talked me out getting the warranty on it.

Look over the paper work on the aamco rebuilt.
There should be at least some basic warranty on it.
Or they may at least give you a free diagnostic/scanner check on it.
Was it the extended warranty or just the basic warranty that they talked you out of?

But the first thing check fluid level and condition and get it on a good scanner and find out what it is doing or not doing.
May be a major problem or just a sensor or solenoid or wiring problem or even a engine running problem.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
