Replica body on Toyota MR2.....
Hi peeps, first post on here and was wondering what you guys thought of a crazy idea i had.
I know of an 80% finished Countach project local to me however it has a rubbish chassis with a Jaguar front subframe and an old 2.0 engine with a 4 spd box. The body however is good and very accurate so my idea is to remove this and fit it onto a Toyota MR2 MK2 base, this way like the Fiero based cars most stuff is already done. I may have to stretch the chassis as the MR2 MK2 has a wheelbase of 94.5 " and the Countach 96.5 ". Would i need to bother ? What about mounting the front or rear suspension 2 " further Forward/back (i think struts would adjust for this as they always have movement on the top mount) ? Any other issues you can think of ? opcorn:

Re: Replica body on Toyota MR2.....
Why post an MR2 in the Lamborghini section?
It'd still be laughed at as the joke it is. There isn't a replica out there that doesn't look like just what it is, an abortion. Better to either get a real Countach or build up the MR2 as it's a great car and hardly one to be ashamed of. Drive a replica and everyone that sees it will think "poser" so why bother?
