Friend ticket reckless driving

ok so me and a friend are taking two girls home before curfew, we are taking a left at an intersection and being as how its an 87 firebird, weve burned the hell out of the tires and went through some water while turning and fishtailed a little bit. the cop pulls us over and comes up to the car and immediately asks if we were smoking an "marijuana" or if we had anything to the sort and everyone replied no, cause we dont do that shit, long story short, 5 cop cars and they search the car, with consent, and he gets a reckless driving ticket. immediately after the cops tell us to go ahead and go i pull out my phone and start taking pictures of the tread on his tires and they were still wet and the intersection etc, my phone saves latitude longitude date and time on the pictures. the cop questioned me what i was doing and i told him wet tires not enough tread for a tight left turn, and he hassles us on oh i should give u defective vehicle ticket then. all in all any pointers as to how to fight this and get it dismissed or dropped to a no pointer, he has 2 speeding tickets and only 2 pts left turns 18 on august 18th court is on the 9th so cant he plead no guilty and he'll get his pts back on his birthday go to court and get it dropped a little and hes ok?

A reckless ticket is a serious violation with a huge insurance increase. It is extremely likey he will be dropped from his parents insurance. Since they will find out about it anyway, he needs to go ahead and tell them. Even if he delays it is likely his license will be suspended. He can check his record at the DMV.

I always recommend an attorney for a serious ticket. You usually come out ahead when you factor in the insurance.
