Ferrari F430 vs Porsche 997 GT2

What do you guys think? Also, if there 's anyone who can post the specs of both cars, that would be greatly appreciated...

Same engine as the 911 Turbo, but upgraded a bit

MSRP: $191,700, but sure to be inflated


Ferrari F430

6sp manual or 6sp F1 transmissions
MSRP: $171,000, but also sure to be inflated


The Porsche is probably a bit faster, but I couldn't see myself in it. If I'm going to spend $200,000 on a car, its going to be a Ferrari. I like the F1 transmission, the high revving, N/A V8, the styling, the connections to F1, and so on. The Porsche is a great car, but it doesn't have the same soul as the Ferrari.

F430... as much as I like the Porsche half the people that see it wont even know its any different then any other 911.

thats the beauty of it... (never judge a book by its cover) when a prick drives up thinking he can take on a plain 911 and the light turns green he'll see hes taking on a whole new beast the choice really lies on ones taste ,the flashy type would opt for the elegant beauty and "luxury" of the f430, however the gt2 would catch the eye of true enthusiasts and purists they both reflect their origin,italians are known for their artistic abilities/qualities(note the sexy ferraris,zondas, and lamborghinis) , while germans are big on engineering and functionality(best examples are the two most powerful/fastest prodution cars on the planet,the porsche carrera gt and mecedes slr mclaren) ....
all in all i hate to go against the grain on this one but i have to say gt2 all the way beacuse of its longevity and small, highly potent boosted engine...
i'd much rather be faster than prettier any day (the porsche looks better to me for some reason , maybe because of its modest ,yet unique appearence)

I think the F430 Scuderia might be a closer alternative to the GT2.

Couldn't see myself in any of them. It's just a pair of dick enlargers, you know that. But without the negative auras around them, i'd go F430. The Porsche is too ugly.

Both cars are nice, but I'd definitely go with the Porsche GT2. I agree with thePRODIGY completely here. Plus i'm just a Porsche fan. Its the only really fast supercar make that I like.
