intake manifold runner circuit code p1520

My 2000 Focus is giving me this code about the IMRC. I've heard a lot about this on the Windstar v-6 but not on a 4 cylinder focus. Can anyone tell me where to look for this solenoid at??? All the windstar info says is there is a rod with a clip on one of the units (there are 2 on a V-6) that most likely came off or is binding up but I looked very closely at the intake manifold & I found nothing like that. There is a round shaped item about 3 inches long with wires coming out of it below the throttle butterfly valve that might be it. I know where the TPS is and the EGR valve so I know it's not one of those. I also smell gas when it first starts. I looked for a vacuum leak but found none. Of course it runs just fine (ha ha). Any help out there????Thanks
