2000 Bravada, new shocks causing clanging noise
I just had a relative replace the front shocks and ball joints on my '00 Bravada.
Now the vehicle makes a periodic, loud clang on both sides, most often when turning or accelerating. To describe it: it sounds like a large spring letting loose. My "mechanic" thinks it might be something he didn't know about the SmartTrak system. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! |

Re: 2000 Bravada, new shocks causing clanging noise
Jack the front end up and look under - probably reinstalled something wrong or didn't tighten the shocks, ball joint bolts, brake caliper brackets, hubs are going, CVs were damaged, etc.
