RKE Trouble...Help
I recently became the owner of a 1998 Grand Prix GTP... I love it, but the only problem is that it did not come with a Keyless Entry Remote. My brother bought me one for my birthday and we've tried to program it several times, but it won't work. We've checked the battery and programmed it for my brothers Camero, but it still won't program for my car. Any ideas?

PM me with the last 8 digits of your vin, and I can tell you what part # transmitter you need, and if your car came with remote keyless entry. Most if not all GTP's did, but I'll check to be sure.

Take note that not all '98 GTPs came with the RKE option. You need a Level 4 BCM module (body control) and the RCDLR module to support it.
For example a few members on this forum did not have RKE with their GTPs so do not assume all have it. Mike561 comes to mind who had a '98 GTP.
